The agency behind Kriesha Chu and IZ*ONE’s Kim Min Ju is cracking down on malicious commenters.
On February 19, Urban Works Media, which represents the two singers, released a statement regarding malicious comments via their official Instagram account. In the statement, the agency stated that they would be pursuing legal action against anyone found spreading false information, rumors, or sexually harassing their artists. The full statement reads as follows:
Hello, this is Urban Works.
First of all, we would like to sincerely thank all of the fans who love and support our agency’s artists.
Lately, netizens have been spreading false information, distorted rumors, and sexual harrassment about our artists on and offline. As you might expect, this hurts not only the artists, but their families and the people around them.
In order to protect the fundamental human rights of our artists, we would like to inform you that we will be pursing legal action against malicious comments and the spread of groundless misinformation.
In addition to direct monitoring for the above-mentioned malicious comments, false information, distorted rumors, sexual harassment, et cetera, we ask that fans who happen to see any instances of such conduct to email us at ent@urbanworks.co.kr to provide us with evidence.
As always, we thank you for your love and support of our artists, and we ask for your continued support and warm encouragement.
Thank you.
