According to Hanteo chart, BTS’s new album “Map of the Seoul: 7” sold a total of 2,653,050 copies in its first day of sales.

This is the highest number of sales BTS has ever recorded in a single day. BTS was able to smash their previous first-week sales record of more than 2.13 million copies in just two hours, and with reports that stock pre-orders had surpassed four million copies for “Map of the Soul: 7,” anticipation is high to see what BTS’s first-week sales will be for this album.

Sales of BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7” have already broken Hanteo records!

The group’s new full album was released at 6 p.m. KST on February 21, and its tracks quickly rose to the top of realtime digital charts.

Meanwhile, physical sales of the album soared. According to Hanteo chart, “Map of the Soul: 7” reached 2,183,000 in sales by 8 p.m. KST.

Its total sales by 7:10 p.m. KST were already at 1,036,556, and it reached 2,137,292 in sales by 7:45 p.m. KST.

This makes BTS the fastest Korean artist to reach 1 million and 2 million in sales on Hanteo.

In April 2019, BTS’s mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona” reached 1.38 million sales on Hanteo by 9 p.m. KST. Its first week sales came to a total of 2,130,480 — the best in Hanteo history at the time. With sales of “Map of the Soul: 7,” BTS has already broken their first week sales record in a matter of two hours!

In addition, before “Map of the Soul: 7” was released, its distributor Dreamus Company shared that stock pre-orders of the album had hit 4.02 million, breaking a record once again.
