BTS Breaks Record As "Map Of The Soul: 7" Sweeps iTunes Charts Across The Globe
BTS is dominating music charts all over the world with their latest release!
On February 21 at 6 p.m. KST, BTS dropped their fourth studio album “Map of the Soul: 7,” featuring the powerful title track “ON.” Within hours of its release, the album soared to the top of iTunes charts in various countries across the globe, setting a new personal record for BTS.
As of 9:39 a.m. KST on February 22, “Map of the Soul: 7” had already topped iTunes Top Albums charts in at least 91 different regions— marking their highest number of No. 1s on iTunes Top Albums charts to date.
At the moment, “Map of the Soul: 7” is tied with RM‘s 2018 solo playlist “mono.” for the most No. 1s achieved on iTunes Top Albums charts by an album released by a Korean artist.
Additionally, BTS’s new title track “ON” has already reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 83 different regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy, Russia, Japan, and Egypt.
“Map of the Soul: 7” also swept all of the top 20 spots on the U.S. iTunes Top Songs chart just a few hours after its release on February 21.
