IZ*ONE Officially Sets New K-Pop Girl Group Record For First Week Album Sales
It’s official! IZ*ONE has set a new K-pop girl group record for first week album sales with their latest album “BLOOM*IZ“!
The group had already broken the record on February 17, the day of the album’s release. On February 21, IZ*ONE became the first K-pop girl group to reach 300,000 sales in first week sales. A week after its release, Hanteo Chart announced that the album sold a total of 356,313 copies. The dates considered in this calculation are February 17 through 23.
The current top 5 of K-pop girl group first week album sales are as follows:
- IZ*ONE “BLOOM*IZ” (2020) – 356,313
- TWICE “Feel Special” (2019) – 154,028
- TWICE “FANCY YOU” (2019) – 151,051
- BLACKPINK “Kill This Love” (2019) – 146,094
- IZ*ONE “HEART*IZ” (2019) – 132,109
