Son Ye Jin Makes Generous Donation To Help Fight Against Coronavirus

Son Ye Jin has made a generous donation to support the city of Daegu in its fight against the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus).

On February 27, it was revealed that the actress had donated 100 million won (approximately $82,453) to the Daegu branch of the Community Chest of Korea in order to help the city combat the outbreak of the virus.

Son Ye Jin remarked, “Daegu is my hometown, where I was born and raised, as well as the place where my parents live now. So it is a particularly special place for me, and the news of [the COVID-19 outbreak] in Daegu was especially heartbreaking for me.”

She went on to add, “I hope that [my donation] can provide some sort of practical help to lower-income residents who desperately need help now more than ever, as well as aid in the treatment and prevention of COVID-19.”

Son Ye Jin’s donation will reportedly be used to help the residents of Daegu obtain medical supplies and support necessary for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.
