Nam Joo Hyuk’s Contract With YG Expiring Soon + In Talks To Join Actor Agency
Nam Joo Hyuk may be leaving YG Entertainment.
Previously on March 10, it was reported that Nam Joo Hyuk’s contract with YG Entertainment will expire in April, and he is currently considering different options. YG Entertainment commented, “There is still time left on Nam Joo Hyuk’s contract. We are currently in talks regarding potential for contract renewal.”
It was then reported by TV Report on March 11 that the actor will be joining Management SOOP, to which the agency responded, “We recently met with Nam Joo Hyuk regarding an exclusive contract. However, an exclusive contract has not been signed yet and is being discussed.”
Management SOOP is home to actors including Gong Yoo, Gong Hyo Jin, Suzy, Choi Woo Shik, Kim Jae Wook, Seo Hyun Jin, Nam Ji Hyun, Jung Yu Mi, and more.
Nam Joo Hyuk has finished filming a drama with Jung Yu Mi and a film with Han Ji Min. He is currently filming “Remember” with Lee Sung Min and is in talks to lead a new tvN drama with Suzy. In the second half of the year, he will begin filming for a new drama with Lee Byung Hun, Han Ji Min, Shin Min Ah, and Bae Sung Woo.
