Cast Of 'Kingdom' Shares What To Look Forward To With Their Characters In Season 2

The cast of “Kingdom” has shared what to look forward to for each of their characters in season two, which is set to premiere this Friday on Netflix.

During the recent press conference for “Kingdom,” actor Joo Ji Hoon, who plays Prince Lee Chang, said, “[My character] has changed from the hunted to the hunter.” Writer Kim Eun Hee added, “Going beyond simply surviving or defeating Jo Hak Joo, you’ll be able to see [Prince Lee Chang] grow as a bona fide leader of the people.”

Ryu Seung Ryong, talking about his character Jo Hak Joo, said, “He’s a character that shows how frightening a person’s wrongful beliefs can be.” As someone who holds as much power as a king, Jo Hak Jo aims to rule Joseon in accordance with his twisted vision, eliminating anyone who stands in his way.

In the coming season, Bae Doona’s character Seo Bi will continue to research the outbreak and the “resurrection plant” at the center of it. Bae Doona commented, “[Seo Bi] was incredibly bold in the first season, and in this upcoming season, she is even stronger. She’s an amazing character that shows that class society means nothing.”

Season 2 of “Kingdom” premieres on March 13.
