Super Junior's Shindong Talks About How His Dogs Helped Him Recover From Depression

Super Junior members Shindong and Kim Heechul bonded over their love for their dogs on ”My Ugly Duckling.”

On the March 22 episode of the SBS reality show, Shindong and his two dogs paid Kim Heechul a surprise visit.

Kim Heechul, who had been peacefully playing computer games until then, quickly found himself cleaning up after Shindong’s dogs as they excitedly ran around the house and made a mess.

Shindong explained, ”I’m going to be indebted to you for about three days because of construction at my home.” Kim Heechul then used his experience as a dog owner to train Shindong’s dogs.

Shindong went on to confess, ”I actually felt a bit depressed last year.” Explaining that he had seen his dogs online, he recalled, ”On the internet, they were introduced as ‘dogs that treat depression.'”

He continued, ”I adopted both of them in order to help cure my depression. The post didn’t state why they cure depression, but I brought them home and they were so chaotic. There’s no time to feel depressed.”
