Wheesung Reportedly Under Investigation Again For Alleged Illegal Drug Use
Wheesung is reportedly once again under investigation for suspicions of repeated illegal use of the drug propofol.
Chosun Ilbo reported on March 26 that a source from an inspection agency stated, “We recently arrested a drug dealer who stated during questioning that Wheesung had also used a large amount of propofol, and we also acquired evidence of this.”
The police stated that Wheesung injected a considerably large amount of the drug. It’s said that they plan to request an arrest warrant for the singer soon.
Wheesung was also investigated for allegations of propofol use in 2013, during his military service. He was suspected of regularly using the drug in several places including a dermatology clinic from 2011 to early 2013. Wheesung stated that the drug was taken due to a herniated disc in his spine as well as partial hair loss. On July 10, 2013, he was cleared of the suspicions.
Last April, he was again involved in a controversy about alleged use of the drug. TV personality Amy claimed that he had taken propofol with her often and begged her to take the blame. She also said that he planned to take sexual footage of her to use as blackmail. Wheesung later shared a recording of a phone call with Amy where she admitted this had been a lie, and she also posted to apologize and say her claims had been due to misunderstandings.
Wheesung’s agency has not yet responded to the March 26 report.
