Jang Ki Yong Talks About Playing Dual Roles In Upcoming Reincarnation Drama "Born Again"

Jang Ki Yong talked about his new roles in the new KBS drama “Born Again.”

“Born Again” will be a mystery melodrama that follows three people whose lives are intertwined across two lifespans. Playing dual roles, Jang Ki Yong is lone wolf Gong Ji Cheol in the 1980s, while in 2020, Jang Ki Yong is the elite medical student Cheon Jong Beom.

Jang Ki Yong shared his reason for joining the drama. He said, “The script was really interesting. The characters, as well as the story itself, seemed very unique and attractive. Not a single character is ordinary.”

He continued, “In addition, the new challenge of double roles was tempting. I might seem a little unfamiliar at first, but I’m looking forward to showing something different from the roles I’ve played so far.”

Then Jang Ki Yong commented, “I wanted to challenge myself to play a double role so that I can show the various sides of myself in acting. Gong Ji Cheol of the ’80s is a lonely and solitary person. On the other hand, Cheon Jong Beom is an elite medical student who is full of passion. I tried to change the way I speak, the look in my eyes, and my appearance because I was playing two completely different characters.”

He added, “‘Born Again’ has the emotional romance and exciting suspense that you don’t want to miss. You can also enjoy the fun of the genre ‘mystery reincarnation melo-romance.’ We’re working hard to film, so please wait a little longer until April.”
