The voices of Red Velvet members Joy and Seulgi will be heard on the subway!
Many fans have been sharing clips of the idols’ Korean subway public announcements that were heard on Seoul’s No. 2 subway line.
On April 3, this was revealed to be a collaboration between Seoul Metro and SM Entertainment. The idols’ announcements are currently being played on the No. 2 line as a test and will be broadcast on all lines starting April 16. These announcements include various messages regarding subway riding etiquette as well as encouraging words of support.
A source from Seoul Metro told SPOTV, “The announcements in Red Velvet’s Seulgi’s and Joy’s voices can be heard on all subway lines starting the 16th. It looks like some people heard it first while they were being tested in the current system. We have prepared various commentary for each car and season.”
In one clip, Joy reminds passengers to give up their seats for expecting mothers.
