Watch: Hwang Jung Eum, BTOB's Yook Sungjae, And Choi Won Young Team Up To Become Problem Solvers In "Mystic Pop-Up Bar" Teaser
JTBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Mystic Pop-Up Bar” has released a teaser starring the three lead actors!
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, this drama tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) run by an ill-tempered woman (played by Hwang Jung Eum), an innocent part-time employee (played by BTOB’s Yook Sungjae), and a former afterlife detective (Choi Won Young) who visit customers in their dreams to help resolve their problems.
The teaser kicks off with someone entering the orange tent. Hwang Jung Eum, who is dressed in a colorful hanbok (Korean traditional dress), says, “Welcome.” Not only does she serve delicious food, but she also soothes people’s pent-up resentment by entering their dreams. She demands, “Do you think it’s easy to push your way into people’s dreams and satisfy their resentment?”
Then there’s Yook Sungjae with his cute looks and friendly personality. He has the peculiar skill of making people reveal their deepest secrets just by touching them. He starts running for his life in the supermarket as older women desperately chase him down.
Last but not least, Choi Won Young makes his appearance as the manager of the pojangmacha who is in charge of Hwang Jung Eum’s performance management. He does all kinds of chores, from peeling onions and garlic to hunting villains down.
The three of them work together to find people who need their grudges satisfied. At the end, Yook Sungjae asks Hwang Jung Eum why she needs to save 100,000 people, and for the first time, she looks disheartened as she guiltily replies, “Because I killed 100,000 people.”
“Mystic Pop-Up Bar” will air its first episode on May 20 via JTBC. In the meantime, check out the teaser below!
