'Mystic Pop-Up Bar' Amps Up The Excitement With Lively Character Posters Of Lead Cast

Upcoming JTBC drama “Mystic Pop-Up Bar” has released character posters for Hwang Jung Eum, BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, and Choi Won Young!

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, this drama tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) run by an ill-tempered woman (played by Hwang Jung Eum), an innocent part-time employee (played by Yook Sungjae), and a former afterlife detective (Choi Won Young) who visit customers in their dreams to help resolve their problems.

First of all, Hwang Jung Eum poses with a frying pan and spatula as she prepares a delicious snack for the pojangmacha. The poster claims that her character Wol Joo will solve your worries. Viewers can look forward to the refreshing way she will counsel those who are weary and frustrated.

Yook Sungjae poses as Han Kang Bae as he balances liquor boxes while wearing a white apron. Han Kang Bae has the unique ability to make people confess their secrets to him just by touching them. Viewers are curious as to how Han Kang Bae will help Wol Joo bring more customers to the pojangmacha.

Last but not least, Choi Won Young comically portrays Chief Gwi as he sternly stares ahead of him with a dynamic posture while holding fish cake skewers. He will be the one to solve any troubles that threaten the pojangmacha, but he is also in charge of miscellaneous affairs, such as peeling onions, peeling garlic, and putting fish cake on skewers.

The drama also released a glimpse of a table in the pojangmacha. A round piece of wood is placed on top of stacked plastic boxes, making it look like a table. There is also a bottle of soju, a bowl of fishcake skewers, and soju glasses. This will become a location where the troubled ones can escape reality.

The production crew said, “The character posters of Wol Joo, Han Kang Bae, and Chief Gwi, who are preparing for business, have been released. The pojangmacha has joined the lineup as well because it is an important location and ‘character.’ The letters in ‘Ssang Gap Po Cha’ (‘Mystic Pop-Up Bar’)  were split up and inserted into the four posters. Please look forward to the first broadcast with a lot of affection.”

“Mystic Pop-Up Bar” will air its first episode on May 20 at 9:30 p.m. KST via JTBC. In the meantime, check out the teaser here!
