Watch: TWICE Teaches Pengsoo How To Be A JYP Trainee + Dances 'Feel Special' Together

TWICE and Pengsoo recently teamed up for an adorable collaboration!

Pengsoo is a penguin character created by EBS and appears on the YouTube channel Giant PengTV (run by EBS). Originally intended as a children’s mascot, the character exploded in popularity last year among people of all age groups. Pengsoo has met the Foreign Minister of South Korea and various celebrities like BTS, NU’EST, and TWICE.

On April 13, Giant PengTV released a new video featuring Pengsoo meeting TWICE at JYP Entertainment. Pengsoo confidently walks up to the staff at JYP and says, “I’m here to take over the Billboard charts.”

TWICE are delighted to meet Pengsoo. When asked what they’ve been up to, TWICE says that it’s a secret and adds that Mina recently celebrated her birthday with fans through V Live. Pengsoo panics and demands a present from its manager and ends up “giving away” a camera, to the production staff’s dismay.

TWICE then informs Pengsoo that JYP Entertainment stresses good character in their trainees, which Pengsoo lacks. (The character is known for being rather blunt and rude.) TWICE then opens up a training facility in order to teach Pengsoo good character, starting with being polite to its manager.

TWICE is also strict about Pengsoo’s trainee schedule, which involves a lot of free time and no practice or training. By contrast, TWICE reveals their schedule as trainees, which involved strict monitoring of when they arrive for work and practicing dancing, lessons, stretching, and more.

The rest of the video involves teaching Pengsoo the latest trends like dalgona coffee and ASMR, JYP Entertainment’s trademark vocalization, and TWICE’s choreography for “Feel Special. Eventually, Pengsoo masters the choreography enough to dance with TWICE in a special collaboration.
