8 Reasons Why We Are Head Over Heels For Lee Jae Wook
Lee Jae Wook has been stealing hearts ever since he debuted just two years ago. He made his impressionable appearance on the sci-fi drama “Memories of the Alhambra” and has been a force ever since. If you haven’t heard of him, chances are that once you do see him in a K-drama, you’ll naturally become a fan. Here are eight reasons why we are head over heels in love with Lee Jae Wook.
1. His heart-stopping good looks
This one is easy. If you’ve been keeping track of Lee Jae Wook’s magazine spreads, you know that he’s pretty photogenic. He can pull off basically any look, so regardless of the theme or feel of the spread, he’s bound to nail it.
See the following exhibits for proof.
2. He can play any role
Lee Jae Wook has played a total of five characters thus far in his acting career and they all vary in personalities. He has done the difficult task of showing that he’s got what it takes to be a versatile actor. To compare, he debuted with the character Marco in “Memories of the Alhambra” where he played a scruffy hacker who had a bit of an edge:
And then in his next K-drama role, he played the sweet and innocent actor by the name of Seol Ji Hwan in “Search: WWW,” who wasn’t afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve.
Lee Jae Wook did such an amazing job playing such different characters within a span of a year. It just goes to show how talented he is. I’m looking forward to seeing him in various different roles in the future!
3. He loves acting on stage in plays
In his magazine interview with Esquire, he said, “For an hour or two, you communicate directly with the audience and build emotions from the beginning to the climax. So, after finishing one performance, I think there’s a unique joy. Dramas and movies are often not filmed in order, and it doesn’t end when I’m done with acting, but it’s made only after I finish working on it. It’s a little different. How can I describe the feeling of being in a play? I can describe it as ‘being alive.'”
This interview really showed Lee Jae Wook’s love for acting as an art form and it’s just such an admirable quality! We love an actor who takes his art seriously!
4. He can give off bad boy vibes and good boy vibes
Through not only his roles but also his photo spreads, Lee Jae Wook has proven that he can get away with seeming like a total hot bad boy at times and a sweet boy next door at others. His portrayal of Baek Kyung in “Extraordinary You” is the perfect example of him being a bad boy one second and a sweetheart the next. It’s hard to believe it was the same character at times!
