BTS Joins Star-Studded Lineup For Virtual Broadcast Of Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards
BTS will be appearing on the 2020 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards!
On April 24, Nickelodeon announced that their annual Kids’ Choice Awards would be hosted virtually. This means that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, awards and performances will be presented remotely instead of having audiences and performers attend an in-person event. The virtual ceremony is titled “Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together.”
The show will be hosted by singer, actress, and former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice. Nickelodeon has also announced that they will be donating $1 million to No Kid Hungry during the show.
The star-studded lineup for “Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together” includes singers Ariana Grande, BTS, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and Lil Nas X; actors Dwayne Johnson, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Millie Bobby Brown, and Dove Cameron; “SpongeBob SquarePants” stars Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke; YouTubers SSSniperWolf and David Dobrik; and daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. The cast of “Avengers: Endgame” is also set to make appearances.
BTS is also one of the nominees this year, having been nominated for the Favorite Music Group award as well as the Favorite Global Music Star award. The group previously won “Favorite Global Music Star” in 2018.
The Kids’ Choice Awards was previously scheduled to take place on March 22 and has now been officially rescheduled to May 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
