Yang Hyun Suk Forwarded To Prosecution For Threatening Informant In Case Involving B.I

On April 27, the case against Yang Hyun Suk for interference in the investigation regarding B.I’s alleged drug purchase was forwarded to prosecutors with a recommendation for indictment from the police.

The Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency’s regional investigation team shared that they forwarded Yang Hyun Suk, who is suspected of threatening the informant (hereafter referred to as “A”), to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment. Four others, including a YG employee involved in the process of blackmailing “A,” were also handed over to the prosecution.

Last September, B.I was questioned by the police regarding allegations that he purchased marijuana from an acquaintance in 2016 and used it, and he admitted to some of the suspicions. On February 27, it was reported that he tested negative in drug tests.

Yang Hyun Suk allegedly coaxed and threatened “A” to reverse their statement as well as prevented the police to investigate the charges against B.I. Yang Hyun Suk has consistently denied the charges during the police investigation, but the police are recognizing his charges based on the consistency of the statements by “A” and statements by other witnesses.

A source from the police stated, “Yang Hyun Suk is denying all charges. A majority of what ‘A’ has reported has been acknowledged.” However, “A” was also sent to the prosecution on the same day for allegedly delivering drugs to B.I.
