Jellyfish Entertainment Releases Statement About VIXX's Hongbin And Malicious Comments Toward Group
May 1, Jellyfish Entertainment made a post on VIXX’s official fan cafe to update fans on Hongbin’s future activities as well as announce legal action against those posting malicious comments.
The statement from the agency comes after a Twitch stream by Hongbin on February 29, during which he made some comments about other idol groups. Following the broadcast, both Jellyfish Entertainment and Hongbin apologized.
Here is the latest statement from Jellyfish:
Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.
We are writing regarding Hongbin’s future promotions as well as the measures we are taking against malicious comments about VIXX and spreading of false information.
Regarding Hongbin’s future activities, we have decided, after discussions with Hongbin, that the Twitch streams will be discontinued. In addition, his activities as a celebrity will also be put on hold for the time being, and we will take some time as we prepare so that he can see fans once again.
Regarding malicious comments toward VIXX, including sexual harassment, spreading of false information, personal attacks, and defamation, we have continuously checked the posts and are currently speaking with a law firm about filing a lawsuit.
There will be no leniency against those who have posted or spread defamatory comments about our agency artists, and we will be taking every action available to us by law.
Thank you to all of the fans who love and support VIXX, and we will do our best to protect the rights of our artists.
Thank you.
