Watch: Kim Yoo Jung Makes Ji Chang Wook Flustered In 1st Teaser Of Upcoming Drama "Backstreet Rookie"
The first teaser has been released for the upcoming rom-com drama “Backstreet Rookie”!
Based on the hit webtoon “Convenience Store Saet Byul,” “Backstreet Rookie” will tell the unpredictable love story of convenience store owner Choi Dae Hyun (played by Ji Chang Wook) and part-time employee Jung Saet Byul (played by Kim Yoo Jung). The drama will be directed by Lee Myung Woo, the producing director (PD) behind SBS’s 2019 smash hit “The Fiery Priest.”
The teaser shows Choi Dae Hyun sleeping on the job until Jung Saet Byul confidently walks in the store. Later, Choi Dae Hyun looks at Jung Saet Byul, who is now in her uniform, and says in disbelief, “We’re a team?”
Choi Dae Hyun grows annoyed about Jung Saet Byul joining him as he says to himself, “So she’s just going to mooch off of my convenience store?” Meanwhile, Jung Saet Byul has fun throwing money around at her new job.
Next, Jung Saet Byul asks incredulously, “Are you doubting me?” as the teaser cuts to show Choi Dae Hyun spying on her behind some shelves in the store.
