Oh My Girl Takes No. 1 With "Nonstop"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2020, May Week 2
Oh My Girl scores their first ever No. 1 song on our chart this week with “Nonstop”! The girl group’s previous peak was No. 2 with “Secret Garden” two years ago. Congratulations to Oh My Girl!
“Nonstop” is the title song from Oh My Girl’s seventh mini album of the same name. It is a dance track that blends rhythmical bass and energetic synth sounds. The lyrics are about falling for a friend.
Apink’s “Dumhdurum,” which previously topped the chart for two consecutive weeks, dropped one spot to No. 2. Also down one spot to No. 3 is BTS’ “ON.”
There are two more new songs in the top 10 this week. Debuting at No. 5 is “Ridin'” by NCT Dream. The title track from NCT Dream’s mini album “Reload,” “Ridin'” is an urban trap song with a heavy bass line. The lyrics are about the group’s passion and ambition as they take on a new start.
Debuting at No. 8 this week is Chungha’s “Stay Tonight,” a pre-released single from her upcoming album. The house genre track is diversified into different sections with varying sounds, and the lyrics imply a theme of love.
