Watch: Jung Il Woo, Lee Hak Joo, And Kang Ji Young Struggle With Love And Life In New "Sweet Munchies" Teaser
With just a week left until its premiere, JTBC’s “Sweet Munchies” has revealed a preview of the first episode!
“Sweet Munchies” is a romantic comedy about a love triangle in which a man and woman fight over the same man. Jung Il Woo will be starring as celebrity chef Park Jin Sung, while former KARA member Kang Ji Young will be starring as variety show producing director (PD) Kim Ah Jin. “The World of the Married” star Lee Hak Joo will play the role of the successful designer Kang Tae Wan.
The clip begins with Park Jin Sung saying, “I think the customers who come [to my bistro] are people who had a difficult day. I want them to be excited.” Everything seems to be going smoothly for the warm-hearted chef, but actually, his bistro is on the verge of closing down. He desperately kneels in front of someone as he asks if there’s anything he can do to prevent that.
Meanwhile, Kim Ah Jin struggles with her unstable career as a contract producer, and Kang Tae Wan silently grapples with his own troubles as he says, “Let’s never get caught by anyone.” Along with their daily hurdles, the three lead characters dive into an unpredictable love triangle. Park Jin Sung and Kim Ah Jin get much too close in a cab, causing hearts to flutter, while Kang Tae Wan catches her off guard by naturally wiping something from her lips.
Towards the end of the clip, Park Jin Sung appears on a cooking audition program organized by Kim Ah Jin. She declares this isn’t right, but he replies, “This is the only way to survive right now.”
