Bang Si Hyuk Joins Mnet's Reality Show "I-LAND" As General Producer
Big Hit Entertainment founder and producer Bang Si Hyuk will be taking part directly in Mnet’s upcoming show “I-LAND.”
“I-LAND” is the first project from BELIF+, a joint venture between CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment. Launched by Mnet, “I-LAND” is an observation reality show that follows the creation process of next-generation K-pop artists. The program will combine CJ ENM’s content production capabilities and Big Hit Entertainment’s know-how in producing artists, showing the process of participants competing against and working with each other.
Namgoong Min will appear on the show as the storyteller, while Rain and Zico are in talks to appear as mentors.
On May 19, it was confirmed that Bang Si Hyuk would be appearing on the show as a general producer. He will play a key role in the discovery and development of next-generation K-pop artists. As a veteran music producer as well as the founder of Big Hit Entertainment, viewers are anticipating what kind of philosophy and direction he will impart to the participants on the show. There will also be other producers on the show.
Bang Si Hyuk stated, “With autonomy as the basis, we will help the participants with infinite potential develop themselves and develop skills as artists.”
“I-LAND” will premiere on Mnet on June 26 at 11 p.m. KST.
