Stars Continue To Show Support For Black Lives Matter Movement

More idols and other Korean celebrities have posted to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement and Blackout Tuesday.

Recently, there have been many celebrities posting and donating to support the Black Lives Matter movement, including Jay Park, DAY6’s Jae, Crush, GOT7’s Mark, Red Velvet’s Yeri, MOMOLAND members, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany, Heize, and more. Many stars have also posted for Blackout Tuesday, which is a campaign for the music industry to take a pause, stand in solidarity with the black community, reflect, and find ways to help the movement.

On June 3, Jamie continued to show her support for the movement by sharing a post in both English and Korean in order to educate fans and Korean people on why the Black Lives Matter movement is so important.

f(x)’s Amber Liu shared an email template for people to use when writing to officials to call for justice following the death of George Floyd. She has also retweeted news about George Floyd’s autopsy results that state his death was due to asphyxia from sustained forced pressure, as well as the news that police officer Derek Chauvin’s charges have been increased from third degree murder to second degree and the other three officers are being charged.
