Zico's Agency Shares Update On Indictment Of Malicious Commenters

On June 4, Zico’s agency KOZ Entertainment released an update regarding the legal actions the company is taking against malicious comments and rumors.

Hello. This is KOZ Entertainment.

In October, KOZ Entertainment announced that we would be taking strong legal action against malicious posts that contain the spread of false information, defamation, personal attacks, and more against our artist Zico by monitoring various online communities and social media channels.

Regarding this, through the law firm Jung Sol, we carried out the first round of charges against posts that contained the spread of false information, sexual harassment, defamation, personal attacks, and invasion of personal life of our artist. As a result of the investigation, a portion of the perpetrators have been summarily indicted after their charges of insult according to Article 311 of the Criminal Act were acknowledged, and we are currently investigating the remaining perpetrators in order to charge them for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (Defamation). The results will soon be released.

We are also currently in the process of filing the second round of complaints, and as with the first round of investigations, we will respond strongly without settlement or leniency, and we will announce detailed information once the investigation ends.

We would like to inform that our company will take regular action to file criminal charges and request civil damage claims in order to take all possible legal measures for civil and criminal justice against actions that tarnish our artist’s honor by continuously monitoring various communities and social media channels and thoroughly investigating the information sent in by fans as groundwork.

KOZ Entertainment will continue to steadily put in effort so that this can be a year of health and happiness for artist Zico and his fans.
