Oh My Girl's Binnie To Star In Upcoming Mystery Romance Web Drama

Oh My Girl’s Binnie will be appearing in an upcoming web drama!

On June 8, it was announced that Binnie will play the main character in the web drama “Sometoon.” The mystery romance drama tells the story of Seo Ye Jin, who makes an online friend named “Friendly Brick.” After two men who resemble her online friend come into her life, she must figure out who the real “Friendly Brick” is.

Binnie will star as Seo Ye Jin, a college student who does as she pleases and enjoys the small things in life. Actor Jung Woo Jin, who received attention for his appearance on the seventh season of “I Can See Your Voice,” will co-star as Seo Ye Jin’s classmate Nowoon.

The web drama is based on KTOON’s webtoon series “Sometoon x Oh My Girl.” In the webtoon series, each of the seven members has their own story, but the web drama will feature Binnie as the protagonist.

Before Binnie made her debut as as idol in 2015 with Oh My Girl, she appeared as a child actress in dramas such as “Baker King, Kim Tak Goo” and “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.” She is also currently appearing in the web drama “Living With a Ghost,” which began airing in February 2020.

“Sometoon” premieres on June 16 and will air every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. KST on the Seezn app. Starting June 23, episodes will also be posted every Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. KST on the YouTube channel “Real Ending.” Viewers will be able to participate in polls on the YouTube channel to determine the male lead and the ending of the drama.
