Girls' Generation's YoonA, Park Jung Min, And Lee Sung Min In Talks For New Film
Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, Park Jung Min, and Lee Sung Min may be starring in a new film!
On June 9, Xportsnews reported that YoonA, Park Jung Min, and Lee Sung Min are considering joining the film “Miracle” (literal title) as main characters.
The same day, all three agencies confirmed that their respective actors are positively considering the film.
“Miracle” will be a fictional movie based on a true story. Based in the 1980s, the film will tell the story of Bo Kyung, the older sister of math prodigy and high school student Jun Kyung. They both live in the roadless countryside of North Gyeongsang Province. With the help of his girlfriend Ra Hee, Jun Kyung works together with Bo Kyung and the village people to create a train station.
Lee Jang Hoon, who worked on the 2017 film “Be With You,” will be directing “Miracle” with the production company Blossom Pictures. Filming is expected to begin at the end of July to early August.
Park Jung Min, who has starred in films “Tazza: One Eyed Jack,” “Start-Up,” “Svaha: The Sixth Finger,” “Time to Hunt,” and stars in the upcoming film “Deliver Us From Evil,” will play the role of Jun Kyung.
YoonA is in talks to play Ra Hee. The Girls’ Generation member has been active as an actor, starring in the 2017 film “Confidential Assignment,” the 2019 film “E.X.I.T,” and the 2017 drama “The King Loves,” as well as being confirmed to join the upcoming JTBC drama “Hush” (working title).
Lee Sung Min is expected to play Jun Kyung’s father. He has starred in films “Witness,” “The Spy Gone North,” “The Beast,” “The Man Standing Next,” “Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP,” and will star in the upcoming film “The Night of the Eighth” (literal title).
