Albums By BTS And MONSTA X Chosen By Billboard Staff For List Of Best Albums Of 2020 So Far
Albums by BTS and MONSTA X were recognized by Billboard staff members as some of the best releases of the year!
On Billboard’s “The 50 Best Albums of 2020 (So Far): Staff Picks” (with the chosen titles shared in alphabetical order), one of the albums to make the list is BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7.”
The group’s fourth full album came out in February 2020, and Billboard writes, “As BTS continue to expand their global reach further than many doubters would have considered possible, the group’s music keeps growing with it — both in size and in ambition.” The album is described as “not only their best-performing album to date but their strongest and widest set as well.”
MONSTA X’s first English full-length album “All About Luv” also made the list. Billboard describes the album as a re-creation of “turn-of-the-century teenybopper pop” (such as music by Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC) using modern artists and production. The staff says it is “an effective and often charming throwback to the harmonizing and hook construction of a bygone era.”
