Lee Yoo Bi Takes Legal Action Against Malicious Comments And False Rumors

Actress Lee Yoo Bi has filed a criminal complaint against malicious commenters.

On June 19, a source from her agency, Y-Bloom Entertainment, stated to Xportsnews, “We have recently sued malicious commenters on the charges of defamation and contempt.”

Back in November 2019, Lee Yoo Bi was swept up in a dating rumor with The Rose’s Woosung. Both sides denied the rumor and affirmed that the two are simply friends.

The source from Y-Bloom Entertainment continued, “This is not only about the dating rumor. On a periodic basis, there are people who post malicious comments while changing their usernames. They keep spreading rumors that are beyond personal attacks, so we have decided to file a complaint.

“Even though we checked the truth and released an official statement, people keep writing as if they had seen them right next to them. We kept monitoring the situation, and it became so excessive that we sued.”

Lee Yoo Bi has also responded to malicious commenters on social media. After a malicious commenter appeared to reference the dating rumor by saying, “It’s bad manners to go back and forth about your private life” and Lee Yoo Bi responded, “I’ve turned this over to the cyber crime unit. Thanks for worrying about me.”

Lee Yoo Bi recently stepped down from her KBS variety program “Dogs Are Incredible,” and is in talks to appear in the film “Epilogue.”
