"Backstreet Rookie" Holds Onto New Viewers With 3rd Episode
SBS’s new drama “Backstreet Rookie” seems to be going strong!
On June 26, the romantic comedy starring Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung aired its third episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast scored average nationwide ratings of 4.9 percent and 6.7 percent for its two parts, peaking at 9.9 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area.
The ratings were similar to those achieved by the previous episode of “Backstreet Rookie” (3.7 percent and 6.8 percent), which saw a rise in viewership from the premiere—seemingly indicating that the new viewers who came for the drama’s second episode chose to stick around.
The next episode of “Backstreet Rookie” will air on June 27 at 10 p.m. KST.
