Lee Hyori Explains Why "Hyori's Homestay" Is Unlikely To Return With A New Season
Lee Hyori spoke about the possibility of her popular JTBC variety show “Hyori’s Homestay” getting a new season.
On June 28, Lee Hyori held a live broadcast on Instagram while volunteering at an animal shelter. She shared, “I’m at an animal shelter right now with my friends from Jeju Island. The shelter is run by an elderly woman, and a lot of help is still needed here. When I return to Jeju Island after working busily in Seoul, I’m busy once more with taking care of [animals].”
She added, “I wish that the public’s awareness and treatment of animals would improve. This is how I take care of myself. Whenever I find myself falling into a flashy lifestyle and forgetting about what’s going on in the world, I come here to spend time realizing what’s important in my life and how thankful I should be for that. It feels like I’m learning, rather than participating in voluntary service. Cleaning up their droppings… In fact, there are many things in the world that are much dirtier than animal droppings. Now, I’m so used to it that I have no trouble cleaning them up. If you try it out with this kind of mindset, you’ll learn a lot.”
When a fan commented that they wanted to see a third season of “Hyori’s Homestay,” she revealed, “It’ll be difficult. I had a hard time after my house was revealed.” She explained that her home should be a comfortable and happy place for her husband Lee Sang Soon, her pets, and herself.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori has recently been gaining attention for her upcoming co-ed trio SSAK3 with Yoo Jae Suk and Rain.
