SEVENTEEN Tops Oricon's Weekly Albums Chart With 'Heng:garæ'

SEVENTEEN’s newest album “Heng:garæ” is a success in Japan!

On June 30, Oricon announced that SEVENTEEN’s seventh mini album “Heng:garæ” sold 101,000 copies in Japan and placed No. 1 on their weekly albums chart for the week of June 22 through June 28.

“Heng:garæ” is SEVENTEEN’s third album to top Oricon’s weekly albums chart following “You Made My Dawn” and “An Ode.” This makes SEVENTEEN the third male foreign artist in history to top the chart with three consecutive albums, the only other two being Simon & Garfunkel in 1971 and Bay City Rollers in 1977.

SEVENTEEN shared, “When we heard the news that ‘Heng:garæ’ placed No. 1 on the weekly albums chart, all of the members were very happy. We are also sincerely thankful to everyone who supports us, including CARAT, for their great love. This album is a message to the youth who are challenging themselves to reach their dreams, so we would be glad if it provides even a little bit of energy to everyone. We are working hard to bring to you even better music and performances in the future.”

SEVENTEEN’s newest album “Heng:garæ” is a hit not only in Japan, but everywhere around the world. Following its release, the album swept iTunes charts in 36 regions around the world. Moreover, “Heng:garæ” earned the title of “million seller” with its first-week sales, which is now the third highest in the history of K-pop.

SEVENTEEN will continue to promote their title track “Left & Right.”

Congratulations to SEVENTEEN!
