MBC Announces Performer And Host Lineup For Upcoming Online Charity Concert
MBC will be hosting an online charity concert!
In an effort to combat COVID-19, MBC will be hosting the global K-pop donation concert “World is ONE” on July 9 through MBC M, Naver TV, and V Live. MBC and World Vision have co-organized the event in hopes to deliver hope across the globe to those suffering from the impact of COVID-19. The concert will be hosted by Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Oh My Girl’s Seunghee, and it will take place at MBC’s Open Hall in Ilsan.
In line with social distancing, “World is ONE” will be broadcast online all over the globe. Furthermore, while the concert is taking place, viewers in Korea can voluntarily send donations to World Vision through text messages. The concert will also establish a separate system to allow fans abroad to donate as well. In addition to having an enjoyable experience through K-pop, viewers will be able to lend a helping hand during these difficult times through this project that will unite the world.
The artists that will be performing at the concert are Super Junior, MAMAMOO, Stray Kids, SF9, APRIL, N.Flying, Oh My Girl, WJSN, KARD, Ha Sung Woon, Heize, Hiphop Girlz, and jazz musician Na Yoon Sun. Through music, the artists will deliver messages of support to help overcome these difficult times.
MBC has been delivering support through the program “How Do You Play? – Room Concert” and the special live broadcast “We Believe We are the Hope” and will continue to send support through K-pop with “World is ONE.”
All of the donations gathered through the broadcast will be donated to the international relief and development organization World Vision to help prevent the dangers of COVID-19 in vulnerable social groups all over the world and help them overcome poverty and inequality.
“World is ONE” will air on July 9 at 7 p.m. KST through V LIVE.
