MAMAMOO’s Hwasa is taking over iTunes charts around the world!

On June 29 at 6 p.m. KST, Hwasa released her first mini album “María” along with the music video for the title track.

Following the release, Hwasa’s first album recorded No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in 20 regions around the world including the United States, Austria, Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, Colombia, Canada, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Mexico, Oman, the Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and Turkey. Furthermore, Hwasa has become the first Korea female solo artist to top the U.S. iTunes Top Albums chart.

The title track “Maria” also placed No. 1 in six regions around the world, and the music video ranked No. 2 on YouTube’s worldwide trends.
