TWICE Breaks Girl Group Record For Gaon Chart Album Sales With 'MORE & MORE'

TWICE has broken another new record!

As of July 2, TWICE’s ninth mini album “MORE & MORE” sold 563,000 copies (based on Gaon Chart shipments), which is the greatest amount of albums sold in total for a girl group on Gaon Chart.

Previously, TWICE broke their personal record for stock pre-orders with “MORE & MORE” when the album surpassed 500,000 stock pre-orders in May 27. The group went on to also break their personal record for the number of album sales in the first week of its release.

Furthermore, as of July 3, the total number of Korean TWICE albums sold since their debut album “The Story Begins” in October 2015 to their most recent album “MORE & MORE” has reached over 5.26 million albums. The nine albums TWICE released in Japan have also sold a total of 3.57 million copies, bringing the total number of TWICE album sales to over 8.80 million.

After wrapping up promotions for “MORE & MORE,” TWICE continued to earn trophies for the album, achieving their 106th music show broadcast win. This is also the greatest number of music show broadcast wins from a girl group. The title track “MORE & MORE” recently became their fastest music video to reach 100 million views.

Congratulations to TWICE on their new achievement!
