Hyerim And Shin Min Chul Tie The Knot In Private Wedding Ceremony

Hyerim has officially tied the knot!

On July 5, Hyerim and her fiancé Shin Min Chul held a private wedding ceremony in the Gangnam District of Seoul. Due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, the attendees were limited to family members, relatives, her fellow Wonder Girls members, and other close friends. The couple has also had to postpone their honeymoon to sometime in the future.

Earlier this year, Hyerim revealed that she had been dating taekwondo athlete Shin Min Chul since 2013. Along with the news of her wedding, Hyerim shared photos from their wedding photoshoot as well as a heartfelt letter to her fans. Before the wedding, the couple shared their love story through MBC’s “Don’t Be Jealous,” and the Wonder Girls members also reunited to celebrate the special occasion.

Through a statement from her agency rrr Entertainment, Hyerim said, “July 5 felt so far away, but somehow the day has arrived. We were able to hold our wedding ceremony thanks to blessings from many people. The decisions to reveal our relationship and to announce our marriage weren’t easy, but I’m so thankful to my fans and everyone who congratulated us. Thank you once again to everyone who wished us well and supported us as we made a new start as a couple. Marriage is not the end, but a new beginning. We will live well! Thank you.”

In 2010, Hyerim joined as a member of Wonder Girls through “2 Different Tears.” After her exclusive contract with JYP entertainment ended in January, Hyerim joined Yubin’s new agency rrr Entertainment.
