"Backstreet Rookie" And "It's Okay To Not Be Okay" Both Enjoy Ratings Boost
SBS’s “Backstreet Rookie” and tvN’s “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” both enjoyed a rise in viewership last night!
On July 18, after scoring the same average nationwide rating for three consecutive episodes, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” saw a modest increase in viewership as it kicked off the second half of its run. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest broadcast of the romance drama scored an average rating of 5.8 percent and a peak of 6.2 percent nationwide.
“It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” also continued to perform well with viewers in the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, taking first place in its time slot across all channels—including public broadcast networks—with an average rating of 4.2 percent and a peak of 4.5 percent for the night.
“Backstreet Rookie” saw an even more substantial increase in viewership for its latest episode, which scored average nationwide ratings of 5.3 percent and 8.4 percent for its two parts.
tvN’s “King Maker: The Change of Destiny” held steady with an average nationwide rating of 5.0 percent, trailed by OCN’s new parallel-universe drama “Train,” which scored an average rating of 1.0 percent for its third episode. JTBC’s new mystery drama “Graceful Friends” also saw a modest decline, earning an average rating of 3.7 percent for its fourth episode.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Once Again” continued its reign over Saturday nights with average nationwide ratings of 23.9 percent and 29.4 percent for its two parts.
