Oh My Girl's Arin Shares Thoughts On Group's Recent Success, Being In Her 20s, And More
In a new photo shoot and interview with Dazed Korea, Oh My Girl’s Arin talked about the group’s recent success with “Nonstop” and “Dolphin.”
When the interviewer commented that she’s not as high on the success as one could expect, Arin said, “If we had suddenly found a lot of success right when we debuted, I think it’s possible we could’ve changed or been high on success. But as you know, this is kind of a late success for Oh My Girl. It’s been a little over five years since we debuted, and we’ve consistently held the mindset that even if we go a bit slow, we should continue to show good sides of ourselves. You could say [our success] seems like a reward for all that time?”
She continued, “We’re so thankful to our fans for their love. We’re just happy and thankful every day, and we don’t feel high on success at all. Rather, we’re usually thinking, ‘There’s no way it’s us,’ and then when we do get No. 1, it’s hard to believe. We’re always thankful.”
Talking about her 20s and if it’s close to what she imagined it would be while in her teens, Arin said, “If I think about it, I’m slowly going in the right direction, in line with my dreams. I think I’ve been doing well, with no big issues along the way. One’s early 20s, in my opinion, are a time to have a variety of experiences through things like school or part-time work and to prepare for financial and mental independence. In that respect, I’ve had many different experiences last year and this year.”
