After the agency denied school bullying rumors surrounding Naeun earlier in the day, one news outlet reported that Naeun has canceled her scheduled activities for APRIL’s upcoming comeback due to shock from the rumors.

In response, DSP Media clarified, “Including Lee Naeun, APRIL is preparing for their comeback next week. The scheduled music show appearances will also carry out as planned.”

An agency source commented, “In consideration of the artist’s well-being, she was just told to sit out of dance practice today.”

APRIL is set to make a comeback on July 29.

The statement reads as follows:

Hello. This is DSP Media.

This is an official statement regarding a rumor about our artist that is being mentioned on a certain online community.

Since becoming aware of the post on the community, we carried out a detailed process of checking with not only the artist but also acquaintances, and we came to the conclusion that it is false.

We collected all evidence since the post was uploaded, and we have decided to take strong legal action after appointing a law firm today.

From this time forward, we plan on taking strong action for posting or spreading false information regarding our action. There will be no settlement or leniency.

We hope faulty judgments will not be made for personal momentary enjoyment.

Lastly, we thank everyone who gives love to DSP Media artists, and we will do our best to protect the rights of our artists that you cherish through continuous monitoring and strong action.

On July 22, a netizen (hereafter referred to as “A”) posted on an online community and stated that they had been classmates with Naeun in elementary school. A claimed that they had been bullied by Naeun and another friend in the past, further explaining that the three of them had been friends until Naeun and the other friend began to leave her out and bully her. A shared, “I want an apology. The memories keep coming back to me when I see Naeun’s face.”
