"Peninsula" Surpasses 3 Million Moviegoers In 2 Weeks
“Peninsula” has surpassed 3 million moviegoers!
As of July 28 at 8:47 p.m. KST, just 14 days after its premiere, the “Train to Busan” sequel officially surpassed 3 million moviegoers, continuing its impressive run in the box office.
In celebration of the milestone, Kang Dong Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Lee Re, and Director Yeon Sang Ho shared a photo on Instagram thanking viewers.
Previously, the film hit 1 million moviegoers in less than four days, and then 2 million on July 21, one week after its release.
“Peninsula,” which takes place four years after the events of the 2016 hit zombie film “Train to Busan,” has also taken No. 1 in the box office in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Mongolia, and is looking ahead to premieres in North America, Europe, and New Zealand in August.
