Lee Joon Gi And Moon Chae Won Talk About Their Steamy Kiss Scene In "Flower Of Evil"

Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won shared the behind-the-scenes story about their kiss in the first episode of “Flower of Evil”!

On July 30, a live chat show was held featuring the “Flower of Evil” stars Lee Joon Gi, Moon Chae Won, Jang Hee Jin, and Seo Hyun Woo.

There’s been a lot of buzz about the deep kiss shared by Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won’s characters early on in the premiere episode. The stars play a married couple, with Moon Chae Won acting as a detective who comes to suspect that her husband may be a serial killer.

On the topic of the kiss, Jang Hee Jin said, “It was really deep. I was so shocked because it seemed deeper than it was in the script.”

Lee Joon Gi said, “I think we were both thinking a lot about how we’d carry out the kiss scene, since it was early on in filming. We’re a married couple so we couldn’t have a sweet and naive kiss.”

Moon Chae Won said, “It didn’t feel that deep on set. It looked that way because when we were shooting it, we were filming for a bit and then they did a close up that zoomed in on just our lips.”

Lee Joon Gi added, “I was surprised and wondered if it had felt like that on set. I realized how detailed the director had been.”

Seo Hyun Woo shared, “Someone commented to say that real married couples don’t kiss like that,” making the others laugh. Lee Joon Gi responded, “It’s a drama, you know. Don’t try to generalize. There are couples that are in love too.”

During the show, Seo Hyun Woo also described Lee Joon Gi as an “energy booster,” saying that he never gets tired. Lee Joon Gi joked, “It’s to the point that I could disrupt others.”

Jang Hee Jin said, “We get worried that he’ll get tired out. I think he has an unbelievable amount of energy.”

When asked what the secret to his energy is, Lee Joon Gi said, “I like red ginseng. I ate it a lot when I was doing ‘The Scholar Who Walks the Night‘ too.”

He added, “To be honest, I like attention. If I’m having fun and running around, then they’ll give me another look. I get lonely when I’m at home.”

Moon Chae Won replied, “He’s really like that. It’s like he’s going, ‘Look at me.'” Lee Joon Gi shared that he’s happier on set than at home and said, “I’m planning to not take breaks from doing projects now. Last year was too… I’ll also give chances to my fans for them to support me.”
