BTS's 'Map Of The Soul: 7 -The Journey-' Goes Triple Platinum In Japan, TWICE's 'Fanfare' Goes Platinum

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced new certifications for BTS and TWICE’s latest Japanese releases!

On the RIAJ’s list of certifications for the month of July, it was revealed that BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” has reached triple platinum status.

The group’s fourth Japanese full album “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” came out on July 15. It includes 13 songs in total, with Japanese versions of many of their Korean tracks and two new original Japanese songs: the title track “Stay Gold” and “Your Eyes Tell,” which was co-written by Jungkook.

To be certified as triple platinum by the RIAJ, an album must reach 750,000 copies shipped.

In addition, TWICE’s latest Japanese single “Fanfare” has gone platinum. The single came out on July 8 and it includes their new Japanese song “Fanfare” as well as a Japanese version of their latest Korean comeback track “MORE & MORE.”

Platinum status is reached by a release once it hits 250,000 copies shipped.
