Watch: IZ*ONE Puts Their Own Spin On IU And Im Seulong's "Nagging" On "Immortal Songs"
The August 8 episode of KBS’s “Immortal Songs” featured the songs of famous lyricist Kim Eana. The performers included Tei, Ha Sung Woon and Im Han Byul, 2F (4Men members Shin Yong Jae and Kim Won Joo), IZ*ONE, Im Jung Hee, and Jo Jung Min.
During the show, IZ*ONE was asked about setting a new record for first-week album sales and responded, “It’s all thanks to the fans.” For their performance on “Immortal Songs,” the girl group covered IU and Im Seulong’s duet “Nagging.”
Jang Won Young said, “Kim Eana takes the feelings that we all feel and expresses them in beautiful but honest lyrics.” She added, “This is our third time on ‘Immortal Songs.’ We’ve always competed against amazing senior artists and never got a win, but this time we’d like to get one for the first time.”
After their performance, Kim Eana said, “I can see in IZ*ONE now what I saw in IU back then. She was in high school and whatever she did was adorable. I wanted to give her a story that was appropriate for that age. I got No. 1 for the first time with ‘Nagging.'”
The final winner on this episode was Im Jung Hee.
