August Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for girl groups!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various girl groups, using big data collected from July 8 to August 8.

BLACKPINK held onto their spot at the top of this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 9,922,928 for August. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “YouTube,” “4th anniversary,” and “How You Like That,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “surpass,” “release,” and “record.” BLACKPINK’s positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 84.77 percent positive reactions.

Red Velvet rose to second place in the rankings with a brand reputation index of 5,597,781 for the month, marking a modest 1.13 percent increase in their score since July.

Finally, (G)I-DLE came in third place after enjoying a 58.19 percent rise in their index since last month, scoring a total brand reputation index of 4,763,242 for August.
