Moon Hee Jun And Soyul Send Their Daughter A Message To Her Future Self In Final "The Return Of Superman" Appearance

Moon Hee Jun, Soyul, and Hee Yul (JamJam) bid a tearful farewell in their last appearance on KBS’s “The Return of Superman.”

In the episode, Moon Hee Yul, who was affectionately known as JamJam on the show, asked her parents and the production staff to call her by her real name from now on.

Hee Yul and Soyul prepared a surprise for Moon Hee Jun. When he came home from work, he was surprised to find no one in the house. Then Hee Yul appeared on TV and said, “I liked throwing balls, dancing, and drawing with you. Thanks for playing with me, Daddy. I love you.” Soyul added, “Thanks for being a Superman for me and Hee Yul. You worked hard for the past year, so I prepared this for you.” She and Hee Yul dressed in matching cheerleading outfits and danced to H.O.T.’s “Happiness.”

Moon Hee Jun revealed that he had planned something as well and gave a bouquet of flowers and a wedding dress to Soyul. In an interview, he explained, “When we got married three years ago, she was pregnant with JamJam, so she was limited in her choice of wedding dress. She said at the time that she wanted to wear a close-fitting dress. I saw it as I was passing by and thought she would like to wear it, so I borrowed it.”

Moon Hee Jun and his daughter also dressed up for the occasion and practiced walking down the aisle. Then Moon Hee Jun and Soyul recorded a video letter for their daughter’s future 20-year-old self. Moon Hee Jun said, “You’re 20 years old now. There’s something I really wanted to tell you. Thank you for letting me live as your father. Also, you should get married as late as possible.”

Soyul said through tears, “Hee Yul is 20 years old now. Mom loves you very much and will raise you well. I love you.”
