Go Kyung Pyo Shows His Dapper Side As A Mysterious Businessman In New Drama
JTBC’s upcoming drama “Private Life” (literal title) has shared new stills of Go Kyung Pyo.
“Private Life” is set in the current age in which people share, steal, and fabricate their private lives. The drama is about a group of con artists mobilizing all their techniques to disclose the nation’s major “private life.”
Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun plays Cha Joo Eun, a con artist who scams people to survive, and Kim Hyo Jin plays Jung Bok Gi, a professional con artist who ranks in the top one percent of all con artists. Go Kyung Pyo plays Lee Jung Hwan, a mysterious team manager at a major company, and Kim Young Min plays Kim Jae Wook, an ambitious con artist who is also Jung Bok Gi’s business partner.
Go Kyung Pyo’s character, Lee Jung Hwan, is described as “too perfect to be real.” He is the team leader of a research and development team at a major company, a position that requires firm judgment, quick wits, and rational thinking. On top of this, he is intelligent, competent, handsome, detail-oriented, and the perfect gentleman in behavior.
In the new stills, Go Kyung Pyo brings out his character’s charisma as he suits up for the role. Although he seems like a standard male lead, the description of him as a “mysterious team leader” has viewers curious about his role in the middle of a con artist scheme.
The production staff stated, “He is excellent at his job as the team leader of a major company, but there is something mysterious about him. Go Kyung Pyo handles this ambiguous change well with his detailed and sensitive acting. A key point to look out for in ‘Private Life’ is why he approaches Joo Eun, what kind of role he has in the war between con artists, and how he will change with each episode.”
“Private Life” premieres on September 16 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here!
