Mnet Confirms "I-LAND" Cleaning Staff Tested Positive For COVID-19 And Explains Safety Measures Being Taken
Mnet has confirmed reports that an “I-LAND” cleaning crew member tested positive for COVID-19, and that they have taken appropriate safety measures.
On August 15, Dispatch released an exclusive report that a member of the janitorial service company employed by “I-LAND” had tested positive for COVID-19. According to the report, the individual visited the set of “I-LAND” on August 12 to carry out his duties, and was alone and wearing a mask at the time.
A source from “I-LAND” responded to the reports and stated, “We have been taking great care in carrying out preventative measures such as keeping a record of everyone who visits the set, collecting health questionnaires, and measuring body temperature. However, we have unfortunately had a case of COVID-19 on set.”
They continued to add, “The set of ‘I-LAND’ was shut down and closed off, and has been disinfected. We have informed the staff and contestants that there was a positive case and for their safety, all of them will be tested as well.”
