Go Joon, Jo Yeo Jeong, And More Show Great Chemistry At 1st Script Reading For New Comedy Thriller Drama

KBS 2TV has given a closer look at the first script reading for the upcoming drama “If You Cheat, You Die” (literal translation)!

The script reading took place with producing director (PD) Kim Hyung Seok, writer Lee Sung Min, and the cast, which includes Jo Yeo Jeong, Go Joon, Yeonwoo, Kim Young Dae, Song Ok Sook, Jung Sang Hoon, Lee Si Eon, Kim Ye Won, Hong Soo Hyun, Oh Min Seok, Lee Se Na, Bae Noo Ri, Kim Jung Pal, Kim Do Hyun, Lee Tae Hyung, Kim Soo Jin, Han Soo Yeon, Gong Sang Ah, Yoo Jun Hong, Song Seung Ha, and more.

“If You Cheat, You Die” is as a comedy mystery thriller about adults who do bad things with a guilty conscience. Jo Yeo Jeong will play the bestselling crime mystery novelist Kang Yeo Joo, who’s always thinking about different ways of killing people. Go Joon takes on the role of her husband Han Woo Sung, a divorce lawyer who has made a written promise with his wife that states, “If you cheat, you die.”

Before the reading began, PD Kim Hyung Seok said, “I’m very thankful that so many great actors have gathered here today. I’d like to beat COVID-19 and create a drama that is fun and classy.”

Writer Lee Sung Min added, “I’m so excited that the actors that I’ve been thinking of are here.” Head of KBS Drama Lee Gun Joon shared, “This is a highly anticipated project for KBS. I hope the viewership ratings will be as strong as the drama’s title.”

Jo Yeo Jeong and Go Joon kicked things off, showing amazing chemistry as they portrayed a married couple. The duo previewed moments of both comedy and thrills with great detail.

Meanwhile, rookie actor Kim Young Dae brought a new level of energy to the reading, playing the character Cha Soo Ho, a convenience store part-time worker with a pretty face who gets involved with Kang Yeo Joo and tries to protect her.

Song Ok Sook takes on the role of professional housekeeper Yeom Jin Ok, while Jung Sang Hoon will play Han Woo Sung’s best friend Son Jin Ho.

Lee Si Eon, who will be the experienced detective Jang Seung Chul, worked together with Kim Ye Won as she transformed into Ahn Se Jin, the only female detective of the violent crimes department. The two characters joined their police department in the same year and share a close bond as colleagues.

On the other hand, Oh Min Seok will play Ma Dong Gyun, a chief at the National Intelligence Service.
