TREASURE's Debut Album Sets 2020 Rookie Group Record For First Week Album Sales
YG Entertainment’s new boy band TREASURE has set a new record!
According to Hanteo Chart, TREASURE’s debut single album “THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE” that was released on August 13 recorded cumulative sales of 166,614 copies over a week. This is the largest number of albums sold by a rookie group this year.
Previously, it was announced that their debut album reached 200,000 stock pre-orders. Not only that, but their debut track hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 19 different regions, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Luxembourg, Indonesia, Qatar, Peru, Thailand, and more.
Check out their music video for their title track “BOY,” which also surpassed 6 million views on YouTube less than 15 hours after its release.
