BTS's "Dynamite" MV Officially Breaks YouTube Record For Highest 24-Hour Debut View Count
BTS’s “Dynamite” is now officially the music video with the highest number of views in its first 24 hours!
“Dynamite” is BTS’s latest English-language single that was released on August 21 at 1 p.m. KST along with a music video.
On August 23, YouTube revealed that BTS’s “Dynamite” music video garnered 101.1 million views in 24 hours since its release, breaking the overall record set by BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” at 86.3 million views.
YouTube’s official view count is often different from view counts that are measured in real time. Based on YouTube’s official tally, it turns out that the views for “Dynamite” had reached an even higher number than the 98.3 million view count that was seen on the site at the 24-hour mark.
While it was already reported that “Dynamite” was the biggest YouTube premiere in history, YouTube has now directly confirmed this fact as well, revealing that the YouTube premiere for “Dynamite” had more than 3 million live viewers at one point. The previous record was held by BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” music video, which had 1.66 million concurrent viewers.
Congratulations to BTS!
