Lee Hyori's New Girl Group's 1st Appearance On "How Do You Play?" Catapults Ratings To All-Time High

Lee Hyori’s new girl group project has more viewers tuning in to MBC’s “How Do You Play?” than ever before!

On August 22, Lee Hyori’s upcoming project group with Jessi, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, and Uhm Jung Hwa made their highly-anticipated first appearance on “How Do You Play?”, with Yoo Jae Suk signing on to be their manager.

Even with the massive success of the show’s first project group SSAK3, the new girl group managed to draw more viewers than the trio right out of the gate: according to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of the variety program scored average nationwide ratings of 8.2 percent and 11.0 percent. Not only do the figures indicate a significant jump from the previous episode of “How Do You Play?”, but they also mark the show’s highest ratings to date.

In addition to setting a new personal record, “How Do You Play?” was also the most-watched variety program of the entire night.

MBC’s “Favorite Entertainment” scored average nationwide ratings of 2.6 percent and 3.5 percent for the evening, MBC’s “The Manager” 4.3 percent and 5.5 percent, SBS’s “PJ Date Consulting” 1.9 percent and 1.8 percent, KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs” 6.0 percent and 8.5 percent, and KBS 2TV’s “Mr. House Husband” 7.1 percent and 9.1 percent.
